§ Housing advice

§ Criminal justice process
§ Legal support – Immigration & Family Law, including children.
§ Support & attend appointments if necessary
How to refer to the IDVA service?
The best way to refer to the IDVA service is to either send an email direct to the IDVA’s or telephone on the following details:

With the following information:
o The client’s name, date of birth, address & telephone number
o Any details of children with dates of birth
o The perpetrator’s name & date of birth (if possible)
o Any information about the latest incident(s) & whether the perpetrator is still living with/in a relationship with the client.

What is an IDVA?
§ Trained specialists whose goal is safety of clients
§ To support high and very high risk victims of domestic violence
§ To offer an independent & confidential service
§ To offer client focussed work in a multi-
§ IDVA’s focus on risk and risk management
§ Work directly with victims of DV on a casework basis
§ Ultimately to help victims & their children move safely towards living violence free lives and to reduce repeat victimisation.
